Paris Saint-Germain put in a professional and positive display to claim a 1-1 draw away at Bayern Munich and set up a Champions League final with Arsenal on May 30 via a 6-5 aggregate win.
This was not the 5-4 classic tie of a week ago, even though it threatened to be when Ousmane Dembele got the goalscoring ball rolling after three minutes by crashing home the dangerous Khvicha Kvaratskhelia's cross.
But PSG put in a really mature display to stifle the German champions. Bayern's threat looked limited - Michael Olise looked the brightest spark when he curled over in the first half, while Harry Kane's late consolation seemed undeserved.
There was a first-half controversy, however, as Bayern felt Nuno Mendes should have been sent off for deliberate handball when already on a booking. Referee Joao Pinheiro gave the foul in the opposite direction for a questionable handball by Konrad Laimer.
Then, in a bizarre incident, Joao Neves appeared to clearly handle inside the box after Vitinha's clearance - but the rules state a player cannot be penalised for handball if it inadvertently touches him after being kicked by a team-mate. Both irked Vincent Kompany at full-time.
Despite a two-goal aggregate deficit at half-time, Bayern did not look like the team most likely to score after the break.
Desire Doue and the exciting Kvaratskhelia both tested Manuel Neuer after the break, while substitute Bradley Barcola went close late on, as Bayern struggled for answers.
PSG goalkeeper Matvey Safonov only had comfortable saves from Olise and Luis Diaz in the second half to deal with. That was until Kane crashed home a left-footed finish with his only real opportunity of the night. It came on 94 minutes.
For Bayern, who had scored at least three times in each of their last six home games coming into this, Kompany's treble hopes have gone up in smoke. PSG will take some beating in Budapest on May 30.

"We have to look at some of the phases that were decided by the officials across the two games, which is never an excuse, but it matters. If you look at both legs, probably too much went against us. But the guys gave everything and we tried against a very good PSG team.
"On the handball situation, I get the rules. The very first one [Alphonso Davies handball in the first leg], it goes to his body then to his hand. It's close range, it hits his body first then hits his hand. They say that because of the trajectory of the cross, that's why they gave a penalty.
"The second one [Joao Neves in the second leg], the hand is there in the air, it hits it - but because it comes off his own team-mate, it's not a penalty. But if you look at both phases, there needs to be a little bit of common sense. It's ridiculous. It doesn't tell the whole game, but it's a one-goal game in the end.
"The second yellow card today in the first half. I thought he was giving it and I felt he pulled out because he realised he had already given him a yellow - and didn't want to send him off for that. He's turned it around and given it to the other side. I've seen it on a few angles, Konrad Laimer doesn't touch the ball with his hand. They say he did. I don't know."

"Good memories. We could leave the match with a lot of intensity. The defence were better than the attack. The character we showed against a team like Bayern is so positive. We're so happy to reach a second Champions League final in a row.
"It was very intense. Very difficult. They play football at the highest level. Both teams are similar, we love to press higher. We are very happy.
"In two days I'm going to celebrate my birthday. I'm very happy. We're in the next phase of the competition, the final of the Champions League. We want to give our supporters that kind of gift."

"We are very proud that we did it again. But we have a final and we need to be ready for that game. It will be important for us of course. The best game in our life. We will give everything for this cup.
"It was very important that we scored very fast. I saw Dembele was alone and he gave a very good finish. I'm very proud of him, but also all of the team. The spirit was amazing and I'm proud that I'm one of these guys.
"We respect all of the teams, for us it's very important to play our game and concentrate on that. We don't think about who are opponents will be, we prepare our game and give everything.
"It will be very difficult, of course, it's a Champions League final so it doesn't matter which team is your opponent. You just have to go on the pitch."
